Students make a meaningful difference

Recently, our CEO, Deborah de Rossi, was invited to speak with Year 11 and Year 12 students at Methodist Ladies’ College.  The presentation sparked genuine interest and conversation amongst the students – a reminder of the power of open dialogue in raising awareness about family violence and the importance of creating safe new beginnings.

As part of their Citizenship initiative, the students then rallied together to collect an extraordinary number of essential items for our Havens.  From pantry staples, laundry products, and bedding to hobby items, family games and gift vouchers, their generosity will directly support women and children as they settle into their new homes.

The engagement from the student cohort was inspiring, and MLC were proud of both the volume and the spirit of contribution shown. You Matter is deeply grateful for their support, which will have a lasting impact on the families we walk alongside.
