Visit from Ged Kearney, MP

We were delighted to welcome Ged Kearney MP, Assistant Minister for Social Services and Assistant Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence, to You Matter.

During her visit, Ged spent time learning more about our work supporting women and children impacted by family violence, from the journey of the families we assist, to the role our volunteers and community partners play in transforming empty spaces into safe, welcoming homes.

It was a meaningful opportunity to share the growing demand for our services, the challenges we face, and the very real impact that a furnished home can have on a family’s sense of safety, dignity and hope.

We are grateful for Ged’s time, her thoughtful engagement, and her commitment to understanding and addressing family violence in our community.
