Commendation Award – Kelsey Smith

𝘾𝒐𝙣𝒈𝙧𝒂𝙩𝒖𝙡𝒂𝙩𝒊𝙤𝒏𝙨 𝙩𝒐 𝒐𝙪𝒓 𝒂𝙢𝒂𝙯𝒊𝙣𝒈 𝑽𝙤𝒍𝙪𝒏𝙩𝒆𝙚𝒓 𝑪𝙤𝒐𝙧𝒅𝙞𝒏𝙖𝒕𝙤𝒓, 𝙆𝒆𝙡𝒔𝙚𝒚 𝑺𝙢𝒊𝙩𝒉, on receiving a Commendation Award at the recent Boroondara Volunteer Awards presentation which recognises individuals and volunteer programs making a positive impact in the Boroondara community.

As our Volunteer Coordinator, Kelsey is an invaluable member of the You Matter team and is responsible for recruiting and inducting new volunteers, with intakes of new volunteers happening every six weeks or so.  She is the linchpin between our volunteers and the team, assisting with scheduling tasks, communicating with volunteers and managing our volunteer management system. Kelsey helps ensure we have volunteers to cover the broad range of roles including Haven establishment, goods collection and working bees.
