This year’s You Matter in May included a number of events and campaigns, culminating in our inaugural High Tea for Hope at The Westin Melbourne.

Our ‘You Matter Because’ campaign focused on the women and children impacted by family violence and many of the wonderful people who make up the You Mater community shared their thoughts with us of why these women matter.

Our fabulous corporate partner Tori Allen Events held a fundraising morning tea, raising over $7,200!  Australia Post Sunshine’s staff fundraising event raised $4,600 and we received some generous donations including $5,000 from Rotary Club of Balwyn and $7,000 from the Rotary Clubs of Monash and Mt Waverley.

With our hugely successful High Tea for Hope event, our total You Matter in May campaign for 2024 raised $85,000.

These funds will directly aid You Matter in establishing havens of hope for women and their children impacted by family violence, enabling us to furnish fully equipped and comfortable homes, empowering women to rebuild stability, regain independence, and reconnect with their community.
